"A virtuoso pianist with an extraordinary talent on the keys, contagious passion and endless curiosity, Mansur is one of those rare breed of musicians who are unlike anything else you've heard" - Queenta festival.
For years Sharon toured with leading musicians and ensembles until forming her two solo acts: a piano & synth trio together with bassist David Michaeli and drummer David Sirkis, and a solo act named 'SHASHA' - an electro - oriental show performed live with keyboards.
Her affair with the piano is long and winding. Sharon started playing classical music at the age of 8. At 16 she bought her first keyboards and joined a local metal band. After her release from the army, she began studying jazz at Rimon school and moved to finish her degree at the Jerusalem Music Academy. In the following years Sharon continued to wander between changing musical landscapes of world music, rock, funk and electronic music, while touring with valued ensembles such as Yossi Fine & Ben Aylon, The Jerusalem Orchestra east & west, Lala Tamar, Orphaned Land and more.
In 2021 Sharon released her debut album ‘Cairo Dreaming’ on the electronic label 'Camel Riders Records’. At the same time, she released ‘The Gap’- an album of original compositions for piano solo, on the Israeli indie label 'Kamea'.
In 2022 She released her second E.P for camel riders- ‘Purple Shades’.
In 2025, Sharon released her debut trio album 'Trigger' on the prestigious German label ACT.

THE PIANO TRIO
The expressive spectrum of jazz, the energy and directness of rock and electronic music and the colourfulness of Middle Eastern music - the trio around Sharon Mansur, bassist David Michaeli (Shalosh) and drummer Aviv Cohen (Yemen Blues, Avishai Cohen Big Vicious) unites all of this. Sharon Mansur has internalised all those influences in an impressive way.
The Sharon Mansur Trio and its debut album, which was released on ACT on 27 June, are something like the distillation of all these influences. Sharon Mansur utilises the trio format in the greatest possible variety - from cinematic, spherical passages to rocking bursts of energy and keyboard playing that is so characteristic of Sharon Mansur, whose Middle Eastern-influenced melody lines transcend the Western limitation to semitones. For Sharon Mansur, as for many musicians of her generation, jazz is above all a state of mind, a concept that opens up spaces for new, unheard music without boundaries. A space that the listener explores with joy and wonder.
PRESS
“There is no doubt that Sharon Mansur will be a sensation! "Trigger" is a seductive album blending jazz, oriental music and electro.”
-
Télérama / FR
“With her classical and jazz background, her ease on the piano and keyboards, this Israeli virtuoso is one of the revelations of the year.”
-
Jazz Magazine / FR
“Young Israeli keyboardist Sharon Mansur’s Trigger showcases her ideas for a kind of contemporary jazz/rock fusion in its torrent of Bach-rocking piano choruses, synth-reeds sounds, dreamy spacewalks, balletically folksy melodies, and jazz-trio empathy.”
-
The Guardian / GB
“The album's rich sonic tapestry marks Mansur out as a singular voice; it offers consistent rewards, revealing more from the dense soundscape with each listen. Mansur possesses an uncompromising vision that her trio translates with precision. She is not one to follow the herd; instead, she follows her instincts, producing a taut, theatrical soundscape that is restless, provocative and ultimately entertaining.”
-
All About Jazz / US
"Middle Eastern tradition meets jazz and electronica"
-
3sat Kulturzeit / DE, AT, CH
"Trigger stands for emotional intensity, musical depth and the potential to set things in motion. A new, striking colour between classical discipline, free improvisation and Middle Eastern tradition."
-
Jazzthetik / DE
"Jazz, Middle Eastern music, metal, electronica, classical music - it all flows together on "Trigger" to create a powerful, unique mixture."
-
MADAME / DE
"Sharon Mansur builds bridges between classical music, metal, jazz, Arabic and electronic music. In a time full of tensions and contradictions, this has the radiance of a rainbow."
-
Jazz thing / DE
“The influences and roots of Israeli pianist Sharon Mansur, just like those of her home country, can be mapped in all directions - her debut on the German jazz label ACT leaves no doubt about that. [...] A cosmopolitan excursion that crosses cultural borders and combines stylistic openness and improvisation with compositional precision.”
-
GALORE / DE
"A debut worth listening to by a musician of great musical openness and admirable tolerance."
-
SWR 2 / DE
"An extremely strong debut that makes you sit up and take notice - you can't get past this trio."
-
Jazz Fun / DE
"A highly intense and surprising listening experience. Hardly anything on Trigger is what you might expect from a piano trio. Sharon Mansur creates a completely unique sound spectrum that constantly moves away from what is commonly summarised under the label of jazz."
-
Kulturnews / DE
„Trigger is not background music. It’s not safe, and it’s not easy. But for those who believe that art should challenge as well as comfort, should interrogate as well as entertain, it offers something rare and necessary. It’s a conversation starter. A provocation. An invitation. Best shared with friends, and played loud.“
-
Paris Move / FR
"What Mansur performs seems unleashed. It is easy to visualise a musical path through a tricky maze. What the pianist elicits from the piano keys is furious."
